Pyrotechnics Instructions
Okay if you are having a look at the instructions and wondering why there is a need for this section well there’s a couple of things. Firstly you’re probably one of our thousands of customers who don’t require these instructions, you probably think that they’re common sense and you’d have to be an idiot to get using a BB grenade wrong. Well fine and you’re probably right, read them anyway because from time to time we still get phone calls. We even get calls from people in the middle of games and on the odd occasion we get pyros returned to us the reason they didn’t work is normally the same: User error from not reading the instructions.
The grenades, thunder flashes and smokes we produce are fairly robust. However they are made of cardboard. Now the only reason they are made of cardboard is that cardboard shrapnel is a lot more fun than shrapnel from other materials (we know this from bitter experience). They will survive the rough and tumble during a game but when using them you need to remember that they are made from cardboard and be a bit careful. For friction fuses snap the top off, don’t twist it and don’t use too much force, then strike the fuse as you would a non-safety match. For the pull fuses don’t yank or tug just pull smoothly and firmly at a ninety-degree angle from the grenade.
Now all our female customers can stop reading. The below paragraph is just for us men. Now the women have gone let’s be serious, men don’t read instructions. Normally we don’t need to, we’ll work out how it works (eventually). This is fine with MFI furniture and I largely subscribe to and support the non-reading of instructions. However if there’s going to be an exception to that rule lets make it live pyrotechnic devices.
